Psalms 80:1(To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph.) Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
Psalms 80:2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
Psalms 80:3Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Psalms 80:4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
Psalms 80:5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
Psalms 80:6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
Psalms 80:7Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Psalms 80:8Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Psalms 80:9Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
Psalms 80:10The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
Psalms 80:11She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
Psalms 80:12Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
Psalms 80:13The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Psalms 80:14Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
Psalms 80:15And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
Psalms 80:16It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Psalms 80:17Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
Psalms 80:18So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
Psalms 80:19Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Isaiah 1:2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
Isaiah 1:3The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
Isaiah 1:4Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
Isaiah 1:5Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
Isaiah 1:6From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
Isaiah 1:7Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Isaiah 1:8And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
Isaiah 1:9Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
Isaiah 1:10Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
Isaiah 1:11To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
Isaiah 1:12When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
Isaiah 1:13Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Isaiah 1:14Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
Isaiah 1:15And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
Isaiah 1:16Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
Isaiah 1:17Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
Isaiah 1:18Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:19If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Isaiah 1:20But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Isaiah 1:21How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
Isaiah 1:22Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
Isaiah 1:23Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
Isaiah 1:24Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
Isaiah 1:25And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
Isaiah 1:26And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
Isaiah 1:27Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
Isaiah 17:9In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
Isaiah 17:10Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
Isaiah 17:11In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
Isaiah 43:22But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
